ABOLISHING ILLEGAL LOGGING - PARAGRAPH 45

Illegal logging is a big concern for Cambodian government; however, it can be abolished by any special measures. First of all, the government should strictly enforce the law. Seriously punish the corrupted officials who cooperate with foreigner in cutting down the tree to sell abroad. Next, the government should take plan to preserve all forest in Cambodia. Give the order not to cut down the tree for exporting. Later, the government should not give the land concession to foreign investor in the area which is full of forest. Some investors pretend to make a contract with Cambodian government for land concession, but after they take the land, they just cut down all the trees, and then leave back to their country. There will be no more illegal logging in Cambodia any more if we can achieve the three main points above.
