Definition: A kind of adverb which is used to express how often something happens.

POSITIONS OF ADVERB OF FREQUENCY
GROUP A:
Comes before other main verb:
Always

For Examples:
-I often play tennis.
-She always respects her parents.
-They usually go to school early.
-We rarely meet him.
-John never smiles.
-You seldom play football.
But come after the verb “To Be”:
-I am usually late for work.
-We are never at school.
-He is often late for school.
Note:   But “usually and sometimes” can come the beginning or at the end of the sentence.
For Examples:
-Sometimes she plays cards.
=She plays cards sometimes.
-Usually she plays tennis.
=She plays tennis usually.
GROUP B: It usually comes at the end of the sentence, but occasionally comes at the beginning of the sentence:
once a day
